Within minutes, you can create a virtual case and start searching across all electronic records in the archive through a single interface: from e-mail and IM messages, message attachments and desktop documents to ERP data like SAP and system reports. Case files can be automatically updated and appended with new data from the archive server, to respond to ongoing investigations, audits or legal proceedings efficiently and securely. With AXS-One Case Management, your legal team can control and manage the search, review and production process. IT assistance is no longer required each time a new case develops. You can get an overview of cases in the system, see all the searches associated with a particular case, conduct searches, review search results and package the records for production within a single, web-based interface. No client software other than a browser is required, which makes deployment easy.

To ensure your organization fulfills its “duty to preserve,” the results of each search have their normal retention and destruction cycles automatically suspended until they are reviewed and released by an authorized user. Case review is workflow-driven with highly configurable review criteria, processes and roles. During the review, records can be annotated with notes and attachments. These annotations stay with the records throughout their lifecycle and can be leveraged across other cases to reduce discovery costs. The system tracks all records held in a case and logs all events to establish a full process chain of custody and validate record trustworthiness. Once review is complete and approved, case content is automatically packaged in the appropriate format for transmittal to third parties.
