AXS-One e-Delivery service eliminates printing, posting and storage costs for holiday industry through transition to electronic communication

Watford, 20 December : AXS-One (AMEX:AXO) a leading provider of high-performance records compliance management solutions, today announced that its e-Delivery Service has been announced as a runner-up at the prestigious National Green Apple Award for Environmental Best Practice – Banking and Finance

The hosted, managed e-Delivery Service went live in April 2005 and is currently used by over 4,500 European travel agents including market leaders First Choice, My Travel, Thomas Cook, TUI and Travelcare. Approved by the Civil Aviation Authority, the e-Delivery Service captures and archives documentation issued by holiday tour operators and automatically generates and delivers electronic confirmation invoices to travel agents, eliminating printing, postage and storage. This ability to transform the way the travel industry communicates with each other from 100 per cent paper-based communication to supporting all communication in an electronic environment was instrumental in getting the thumbs up from environmentalists.
