RUTHERFORD, N.J., May 3, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- AXS-One Inc. (AMEX:AXO), a leading provider of e-business solutions, today announced the successful conclusion of its Ninth Annual International Users' Conference, Sharing Solutions 2002.
This year's conference was held at the Harbor Beach Marriott Resort in Ft. Lauderdale, FL from April 21-24. The purpose of the event was for peers to network, share their success stories and get hands-on training for AXS-One's latest products and technology, including the company's new family of solutions, AXS-One Collaboration FrameWorks(TM).
"Our latest conference continued the tradition of bringing together the world-class AXS-One user community, and providing a forum within which they can share their collective knowledge and experiences, pick the brains of the AXS-One experts and benefit from the insights of leading industry and business executives," commented AXS-One Chief Executive Officer John Rade. "We are extremely pleased with the success of this year's conference, and look forward to extending the lively dialogue among the AXS-One user community beyond the event itself. Our new Collaboration FrameWorks Solutions resonated well with the attendees and over 50 leads were identified."
Attendance at the conference was on par with last year's event, with representation from 20% more companies -- a promising sign in a recovering economy. AXS-One's worldwide customers participated in three days of interactive workshops and presentations, which offered practical information and solutions to maximize productivity, reduce costs, increase customer satisfaction and speed-up business processes. The event offered more than 90 sessions in six categories:
-- General Sessions featured presentations from industry
analysts, AXS-One executives and other specialists on issues
affecting the entire user community.
-- Technology Insights Track provided IT users and system
administrators with hands-on sessions on AXS-One's latest
systems, platforms and databases.
-- Solutions Spotlight Track featured real-life application
stories focused on the transformation of companies to
e-Corporations using the AXS-One solutions.
-- Business Track highlighted business trends, best practices and
success stories from leading business executives.
-- Knowledge Track offered hands-on instruction to maximize
users' technology investments with solutions like AXS-One(TM)
Enterprise, Tivity(TM), and AXSPoint(R).
-- Solution Forums were hosted by AXS-One's solution managers and
developers, who provided insight on new products, including
AXS-One Enterprise 7.0 and the new SMART(TM) resource
management solution.
One highlight of the event was the presentation of the new AXS-One Collaboration FrameWorks products, which were well-received by the user audience. AXS-One Collaboration FrameWorks offers a suite of modular, configurable templates, designed to help organizations solve tactical integration problems by managing collaborative processes within the enterprise and across the value chain. AXS-One's customers were excited about the products' ability to speed implementation times, reduce cost of ownership and deliver tangible ROI -- critical requirements in today's economic climate.
A number of industry figures were also present to speak to the AXS-One customer audience about today's key business and technology issues. After opening remarks from AXS-One Chief Executive Officer John Rade, the company's Vice President of Technology, John Byrne, delivered an address on the importance of Web Services, and how they can be effectively leveraged to drive key business initiatives. David Yockelson, Senior Vice President of Electronic Business Strategies at META Group, followed with a presentation on how organizations can properly select, prioritize and apply e-business applications to best support their business models and accelerate growth.
Other speakers at the conference included John Message, Principal Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and R. David Hofferberth, Research Director, Professional Services Automation (PSA), The Aberdeen Group. Mr. Message, a member of the global performance management team at PwC, evaluated the emerging role of the "eCFO" in the e-business arena. Mr. Hofferberth discussed how organizations can effectively integrate a PSA solution in a non-PSO (Professional Services Organization) environment, and increase their bottom line.
AXS-One also presented a number of attendees with Client of the Year (COTY) awards, recognizing customers that consistently adopt new technologies to drive emerging business strategies, and partner with AXS-One to demonstrate the benefits of their implementations to the media, prospective customers and more. Winners of this year's COTY awards were Brittany Ferries, CCH Australia, Hospitality Warehouse (Pty) Limited, Pfizer, Inc. and Stephens Group, Inc.
The AXS-One Users' Conference also included an LDAP focus group, as well as a series of pre- and post-conference seminars, enabling participants to earn valuable CPE credits while enhancing their knowledge of a range of topics, such as Batch Stream Processing, Application Security and more. A Partner and Technology Showcase kicked off the event, featuring the latest technologies from AXS-One's strategic partners, including AccountingSoftware.com, LBM Network Printing Solutions, True Solutions Inc., CoSort and Databeacon.
