AXS-One Extends Options for Data Publishing, Analysis and Reporting

AXS-One's Open Architecture Allows Clients to Automate Data Extraction and Analysis

RUTHERFORD, NJ, January 24, 2002 -AXS-One Inc. (AMEX: AXO), a leading provider of global e-business solutions, today announced that it has developed an interface for AXS-One™ Enterprise General Ledger (G/L) that automates the extraction, export, transformation and publication of financial data for e-analysis. Integrating AXS-One's N-Dimension methodology with technology from business partner Databeacon Inc., AXS-One delivers on the promise of an intuitive graphical reporting and analysis experience of financial data over the web.

The interface also provides an easy path for users who have already spent considerable time defining their own G/L metadata to reuse the same and re-cast, re-shape and/or re-structure them as Databeacon report views. This gives the end-user the capability for "on-the-fly" analysis and reporting. Drag and drop features permit easy self-service modification of published data reports for improved analysis.

Databeacon technology provides powerful yet easy-to-use publishing tools that quickly turn raw data from AXS-One's G/L into manageable multi-dimensional 'cubes' of data for distribution. Security features ensure that only authorized people access that data. The browser-based Databeacon Viewer downloads automatically, providing an easy, intuitive interface that lets any authorized user view, report on, and share data in whatever way(s) are most meaningful to them. Business-critical information such as sales, financials, budgets, supplier and channel data, stored in AXS-One G/L can be published for viewing, analysis, and reporting whether that is for 1 or 100.

"Many companies are challenged by facilitating and automating the extraction and exporting of selected information (both data and metadata) from their existing general ledger relational database to a multi-dimensional database. Our new interface has achieved that goal and we are confident that this technology will offer tremendous benefits to our users," commented Elias Typaldos, senior vice president of research and development at AXS-One.

"The AXS-One/Databeacon interface is quite simply the most easily deployable, flexible, and scalable solution for analyzing information captured in the AXS-One G/L. It enables users to view, analyze, and share information in consistent ways across the enterprise, enhancing decision-making for all," remarked Nathan Rudyk, Databeacon's Vice President of Marketing.
