Provides Entry into Enterprise Services Automation Market

Rutherford, NJ – December 19, 2001 - AXS-One Inc. (AMEX: AXO), a leading global provider of e-business solutions, today announced its development of SMART, “Speedily Manage Alignment of Resources and Tasks,” an enhanced resource management solution.  SMART will be marketed by its Tivity division which provides professional services organizations (PSOs) with a range of Internet-based solutions that dramatically improve productivity, time and billing reporting, resource and project management.  SMART will also be marketed to enterprises that employ a large number of knowledge workers and consultants and are seeking to improve their productivity. General availability of the SMART solution is planned for the end of the first quarter of 2002.

AXS-One developed the SMART resource management system building on robust resource scheduling and strong project management engines which have been used by organizations like Department of National Defense in Canada, Sevren Trent Water and others. These engines were at the core of AXS-One's Enterprise Asset Management System (Yorvik).  This system manages and schedules both large, complex projects as well as routine and general maintenance activity.  Over this past year, AXS One's research and development team enhanced this resource management solution, by creating role-based processes accessible over the internet, to fit the needs of PSO's, staffing organizations and knowledge workers in large corporations.
