Like all enterprises tackling a migration project, data migration – converting users’ e-mail from Notes to Exchange – may be your biggest headache. In addition to consuming at least one third of your total planned migration costs, traditional e-mail conversion
may jeopardize more than just your budget:
- Loss of data fidelity – key for your corporate counsel
- Messages do not convert correctly - and - lose attachments, web links, encryption and links to Domino applications
- Migration delayed until Domino applications are converted
- New Exchange environment “bloated” with legacy Notes
mail, adding to new infrastructure costs
